Ralph was born in Gadsden, Alabama, September 27, 1925. He was admitted to the bar in Alabama (1951), in District of Columbia (1973) and in Georgia (1974).

Education: University of Alabama (B.S., 1949; LL.B., 1951); George Washington University (LL.M., 1953). Ralph is the Author of “Cases and Materials on Georgia Practice and Procedure,” published by University in 1972 and served as Dean of the University of Georgia Law School, 1972-1974, 1976-1987.
